Originals VS ATU covers?

Okay, so, I know lots of people who were Beatles fans first and then they saw ATU. Then again, I know plenty of young people who were first exposed to the Beatles through ATU. So, I'd just like to know which way it went around for everyone and what they think about the covers as opposed to the originals.
Honestly, I lean towards the originals because of my Beatle-mania upbringing. However, I think "Blackbird" was MUCH better in the movie than the original. The only song in the movie that I didn't like at least nearly as much as the original was "If I Fell." Mostly because I'm truly in love with the original.

Okay so, one day I was clicking through the channels and I saw something interesting. It was bono with a mustache. I descided to keep watching. Mmm this comercial had familiar music. Next day, I bought tickets to see it with friends. Came out totally thrilled because the movie was amazing and I couldnt wait to go home and dig up my Beatles CDs.
And I rediscovered the amazingness of The Beatles.

So the beatles came first for me.
Then ATU

Oh yeah! Beatles then ATU is the way to go. I have problems sometimes, with people who love ATU but don't really know about the Beatles. It kind of ticks me of sometimes...
